Appreciate the recommended reading material,
we all grow in our spiritual walk at different paces, march to the beat of different and sometimes very unusual and varied drums. And yes, not thinking for ones self and not going directly to the source for truth can unfortunately be a laziness and thinking the actions, approval & validation from others from the outside will somehow feed our growth within. Jesus walked among sinners. There are 'new' churches about.....small groups of people coming together to learn the truth, practice the power and authority and return to the world ignited with an inner light. Church ain't what it used to be! Again, welcome.
