I believe if more people were like Buddhists, we'd all be better off.
There are a couple other pacifist religions that work as well. The rest are inflammatory, guilt-ridden, contradictory, intolerant, and divisive. I'd much rather listen to a monk teach me the way to attain nirvana than a preacher telling me about heaven and an all-knowing benevolent god that "allows" us free will to choose how we live our lives, including the ways that lead to hell. If he already knows, what's the point?

Hi NorthernYankee...I do not think religion is the answer. I think
compassion, understanding and an open heart is the answer. I know a lot of religious people that do not have any of those traits! Good post!
