Whare are you are you areyou??? I didn't mean to yell at you about planting trees. I got a wee bit strident and preachy again, didn't I? Come back to us (to me)? (Where have I come across that line recently, I wonder??)
Blessings, peace and love, dear Neil.

Very well written Neil! Very scarey and frightening-what we or 'they' are
doing to our Mother Earth-and of course-our WORLD!!! From every angle! shalomfromchris.

I hope your excuse for not visiting me is that you've been busy planting trees-- lots of them.I really picked up on the line: Trees, lungs of the earth, for beans and beef!
The slaughter of the rain forests and species that are only found there, so McDonald's can sell more burgers from the cattle raised on the land? Not to mention the Ozone layer, with huge holes in it now. Every day should be earth day. I got the allusion of Earth to Mother in the poem. In the sonnet, I put it together with the tombstones... Hope you are well and that I didn't get too preachy again!!! Bless you, Neil, for loving ALL of God's creatures as you do.

What man does to Earth is profane, obscene. It’s extremely upsetting to me.

Well done Neil - I confess I didn't know it was Earth Day.
I loved that line about ploughing up trash - so true. I suppose we should be pleasantly surprised we haven't resorted to flinging all our rubbish into outer space. Or maybe it's just too costly up till now? Can only be a matter of time. As it is, there's lots of redundant space junk floating around up there.
