it's a small world, isn't it?

i'm glad I got you interested in this part of the world, there are a lot of misconceptions about it and they are hard to shake off. I am satying for another 2 or 3 weeks depending on whether ig et any work done.

I know how you feel about losing history when loved ones die. My grandma was an encyclopedia in many fields although she was illeterate. i always wanted to jot down some of the things she knows about herbs and cooking as well as other stuff but she died and all her knowledge is lost.

thanks for an informative post. Ive been catching up on your posts as
I dont like to miss them.  Hope your holiday is going better. How long will you be there?  I must go to a world map and check position of these two countries.  My dad fought in WW2 for the British and he spent some time in Lybia and Syria. I wish Id written down some of his experiences while he was still alive.  I ve lost alot of my history.  Its quite amusing here in new zealand. Christchurch where my daughter lives has a big Arab population.  She is often asked if she is Arab and sometimes she' s been greeted in an unfamiliar language.
