Hi Mneme - Oh dear - mine hasn't.
But Pearl is 19 - it was just a day when she was already feeling sick. She'd already been sick at home. In the end she enjoyed the day. i hope I'm not tempting fate but as yet, no-one has ever been sick inside my car - she just managed to get out in time and do it outside!

Tony -Nothing like eating all ailments away! Seriously though, I'm
glad all worked out well in the end, and a happy time was had by all.!

i'm glad those days are behind me - and a tip; they don't get carsick nearly so often with airconditioning. worth a thought when you change the car, if yours doesn't have it. here you don't buy one without, unless you are a poor student relying on dad's generosity.

Proc - thanks! You are proved right by events!
I think she took some tablets before hand - I saw her take some with her anyway. And afterwards, yes, she did eat very well!

Been there done that. And have learned some valuable lessons along the way

1. give them anti -nausea pills even if you dont agree with them

2 carry enough money for food because after a bout they eat like theres no tomorrow....

You ve done a good job weaving an ordinary family event into a bouncy sonnet.

Ah, as concern fills the parent while the child empties; relief to both when the nurturance of sustenance is requitted.  Well done!  --Joy!Mary

Hi Enigmatic. Before is probably the worst, as it goes on for so long.
During ain't exactly pleasant but at least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! And after - ahhh, bliss.

Troosha - thanks - think of it as my diary!
Some days something happens, other days nothing happens, and then i have to imagine a theme.

I agree with Troosha,I admire your ability to write on Themes that can be simple, there  seems to be no end to your inspiration.

Glad it all worked out, but God I hate that feeling (before) and during, of throwing up!

Tony
There you go again... taking a simple (unfortunate but simple) event and weaving it into one of your clever sonnets.
