- Go to Anybody Else Think $40 an Hour for Singing Lessons is Way Too Much?
I see what you're saying, but you'll be hard pressed to find much cheaper. My Mom charges $15.00 for half an hour of either voice or piano lessons, so it's about the same. Have you ever heard of a pell grant? It's like a student loan, except you don't have to pay it back. I have a friend who was so poor going to school that the pell grant paid everything for her and she never paid a cent. (If you drop a class then you have to pay for it since the pell grant only covers classes you're actually taking, so you need to pay them back for dropped classes.) I highly recommend you look into it! And best of luck both with school and the lessons!

Unfortunately, I only have one $7.50 an hour shop with flucuating hours. Lately I haven't had very many hours. I don't know how many I can count on in summer. Oh and I'm trying to save up for college. Somehow $40 an hour for something, no matter how much I like it, just doesn't fit in.

WhiteJedi,
I can sing, but I'd still love to take proper lessons!! Needless to say, I'd be willing to pay almost any price. For me, $35-40 dollars wouldn't be so bad. Still, I can see where you're coming from.
Best wishes to you. Please keep us posted on your progress.
