I used to have a cat like that. Sometimes I put her in another room
and closed the door, but when the meowing and scratching stopped it made me nervous. So I'd open the door again.

cats are very particular creatures...
they only want to cuddle with those with good souls :) ... this is an honor from the feline world, only some of them are blessed with the gift of delivery, while others maintain the aloof reputation (like my Scrapper) in order not to show weakness ;)

speaking from personal experience,
it's awfully hard to type with a cat on your lap. Mine totally ignore me until I sit down at the compute--then they bug the heck out of me, trying to sit on my lap.
