Hi Neil - I know, maybe I should do something more romantic, or
I will lose the Mr Love hat.

Hi Wiley - yes, I dare say. The key is to make 'em suffer.

Thanks, Bhaskar - I like to show my tender side sometimes!

Tony - Looks like you've every angle of Love's heartbreaks, revenge and

rollercoaster emotions covered in fourteen sentences. I'm sure we'll be entertained by more

"lovely" tales.

Mr. Love - the stuccato rhythm matches the subject. Not your usual music

--but i know u have to cater to all experinces in love to keep Mr. Love's hat. Shalom

"Yesterday. Pestered, scorned, vilified; then

Replaced, officially forgotten. Mull"

Sounds like that person has the real message, of what folks like Thomas A Kempis is trying to tell me.

Hi Tony
If your love were strung "from the lamp-post of imagination", hung out to dry on a clothesline etc, I found these as very delightful imagery. Kudos!

Hi OTA - don't worry, you made me smile with your comment!
I think the poem is essentially humorous. After all, humour is looking at the nasty side of life and making it less frightening - that allows us to laugh. Someone like you can appreciate that rather than take it too seriously - even though underlying it are some real issues. Although it's fine to do a straight love poem if that's what the writer feels, it isn't a strong enough urge in me at this moment to do that - so i have done a poem that looks at the dark underbelly of love!!

oh no .. it doesn't come across as anti-female at all. I was just ribbing you a bit. True love is all about that and more sometimes.. for both I suppose.. but I only have my gender and personal experience to speak from .

Hi OTA!
I hope this doesn't come across as anti-female - I tried to make it non gender-specific - but, well, yes, hopefully a realistic kinda gal might be turned on by this schtick!

Hi Troosha - Yes, fair comment.
I'm the same in reality - pretty much everyone is. But what lies underneath it all - that's the interesting thing. I don't know whether I've captured it properly yet...

if you ever passed the time to spend
and your love ones stealing your trend
And that person you love is not your friend
What you will do if for your life they spend?
and you had trusted their hearts to the end
But slowley they left you for no shore or bridge
And now every thing empty cold living on the edge
What and how you will remain have faith in any friend
                        WOULD YOU????????

Not sure sure MY love would survive some of the events you described.  I expect a lot but give a great deal in return.  Most of all I expect truth.....  Great sonnet though!
