Very good points. I think many of us have had second thoughts about what this place is "supposed" to be, or what we want it to be...In some ways, I find the BN to be very intellectually stimulating, particularly when I get involved in a discussion with another blogger who sees things from a different lens than myself - I have learned a great deal from my discussions with you, for example, even though we don't always see eye to eye. :) Sometimes this place can also get a bit tiresome - when the difference between "blogging" and "writing" seems painfully obvious. I guess the only thing to do is find your niche and blog by example - which is what you do very well, poet
