Thanks Mrs T
True I would never let my child sleep over at someone's house and not know.

Yes I agree but I never thought about them never coming back. I guess it would be better to leave them with another parent than alone in the house. But yes parents need to be smarter.

I don't think so I'm sure leaving his kid with me while he goes out to the bar is not a pass towards me, thanks for reading!

Hi April/8-ball

That is strange.  At least you have to get to know the parent beforehand.  I wouldn't just let my kids sleep over somewhere and I don't know the parents.  How daft!!!  You did the right thing.

what a whackjob!!!
obviously going out was more important than his child.  i will never understand how some parents just don't give a damn about their children's safety.  that has happened to me many times and like you - i said no.  what if they never come back i always thought!!!

8-ball, the fact that the dad didn't seem to give a crap is scary.
I've seen or heard worse though.

Thanks Shelly.
I thought so too. Can you believe the nerve of some parents? I'm here to drop my son off to a complete stranger for the night so I can party. What is more important your child being safe or drinking? I know he would be safe with me, I would never hurt him, but his dad does not know me. Strange these days Shelly it is really getting scary out there.
