Yes, indeed Justi, I thank God for all the fearless people through the

ages who have built and furthered the dream of freedom by non violent, yet profound acts of courage - citizens of little power and wealth who realized their greatest strength in effecting change was to unite and set their protest in motion..civil rights marchers, the women who won the vote for our sex, workers challenging dangerous conditions and demanding wages that were livable and yes, in some instances circumstances of war/utilization of our youth in uniform that were truly necessary.

Thank you for visiting.

good post
This whole war has become so nightmarish.  I just don't honestly know what the wisest course of action is anymore.  I just wish it had never started and that Mr Blair had also not supported it so strongly in the beginning.

Quite a few big ones nationwide - spirit of disgust and determination

for change finally flooding the streets.

Hope you had a great time, Holy Grail. Wearing green, drinking green is fun; tainting lives with blood and horror to fill the pot, as Mr. Bush is doing and as the hawks keep cheering on, despite the calls of the people, is evil. They hunt and kill, celebrate their unholy power; no genuine grieving for the carnage they have sparked..

Thank you for visiting.

There was a big protest near here today. I missed this one since it started while I was in the middle of my afternoon commute...I wore green Saturday me'self!  Gotta do it, even if I'm too old and tired to celebrate.

Good Morning, Dearest One

Nice work, Raye...
grandiloquence be damned
I am the seed of a new generation
from my ancient mouth shall the studies be gleaned
I speak the weed and the flower
of a hundred thousand unseen faces
a million more minds clinging to an individual belief
celebrate where celebration is felt inside
mourn, debate, throw argument freely
where your step is questioned
we are not they who lived and died
so many hundreds and thousands of years ago
although, indeed we are the fruit of those same gone
yes, celebrate when the time of celebration
slips into social and individual view
or take up the arms of angst and retribution
if it please your causative drive
I am the seed of a new generation
a society who shall not forget
a new breed of laureate:
it is (now) a time handed to us
to move forward in the knowledge of war and embracing Peace
not to cast blame or inquisition
but to deliver a collective sustenance
to the weary of Heart, the saddened of Soul
we who feel an  ounce of inner strength
it is our time
to lift up the burden
and speak words of encouragement
share the light of Hope;
pave the grand highway between wisdom wrought
from countenance trialed
and that shining light of the impossible quiet skies
where no sound of war and death and retalliation
is known to exist
I am the seed of a new generation:
Grandiloquence
be damned.
