Hi Shruti - yes, that was useful in seeing just how workshops can be.

It is easy to see them as a way for writers to supplement their income first and foremost, and of course there is also the danger when you get there of some attendees trying to hog the limelight and do all the talking, trying to impress the writers at the expense of others - very distasteful, but I'm sure it must happen. I can just imagine at lunchtime or evening meal time, these pushy people seating themselves next to the tutors. I hope the tutors are aware of this and spread themselves equally around the attendees, who have all paid the same.

What were the main tips they gave? (idea for a further post!) Which tips did you agree with, and which ones didn't you agree with?

what the workshops do?do they create writers,modify them or instill their agenda into the inexperienced talents?
