I'm not advocating or condoning naivete, Cantey. I am advocating common
decency. Assinine statements such as the one in my post or incorrigible and only add to a growing problem. It does not help the situation that most terrorist acts these days are perpetrated by Muslims. Still, it wasn't too long ago that that Timothy McVeigh blew up a building in Oklahoma City, Eric Rudoph detonated a bomb in Atlanta, Ted Kaczinski was finally caught after years of terrorist attacks, and hundreds of assaults, shootings and bombings occurred outside abortion clinics. All acts of terrorism. And we won't even go into the ecoterrorists. No, Cantey, I'm not naive; I will not turn a blind eye to Islamic terrorism. I will also not live in denial that many other faces of terrorism exist that do not have look Arab or pray to Allah...

I think
al qaeda operates under and skillfully manipulates the phenomenon of political correctness which has gripped the thinking of Western society. The two are allies with one being oblivious to the fact that it is an ally. There is truth and virtue in what you say in this post of course, and I agree with the sensibilities of it. But I believe there is a danger that many people, in their noble aspirations to be of a "higher conscience" in relating to all races cultures, and creeds, become periously naive.
