Yes I'd say it follows all the right conventions - good metre and rhyme, and a self-contained idea worked to conclusion - great! Good thoughts too..

I don't know why, but your post did not show for me, only the title and the comments page. That happened to me with one of Justi's posts also. I'm not quite sure what is going on. I do like your second part of your sonnet on the comments page very much. I wish I could see the original post.

Close enough for modern purposes
Your poem follows the Shakespearian rhyme scheme, though with some near rhymes, but its meter is much looser. There is the resolution in the ending couplet, also. An interesting effort and theme, all-in-all.

You outdid me OneTimeAgain (my dear Bloggist Rhonda) --here it comes
QUESTIONS
There are pat answers, sometimes, trite ones -
Quick - approximating philosophy;
Answers with insight with these overtones:
Stale intelligence, proud humility
These answers with hearts that will be questioned:
Formulation, universality,
Mixed metaphors, loveless logic, reason
Intimating “us” and “them” minus “me”
Irreverance for a world always caught
‘tween unhealthy tradition and present
Diagnosed as anemic, at its heart, fraught
With ugly questions, powdered white comment
While TIME is but a thread for SUFFERING
To weave humanity, not box meaning
