here's another poem for you
NATURE'S JAZZ
Resting low in the beach chair
small beads of sweat form
under my thighs, cooling me
in the Simi Valley breeze.
I listen to my breath
rise and fall, and rise again.
I watch flowers in my backyard,
draped in green stippled in
pinks, purple, orange, and yellow
like Monet's landscape.
Morning glory blue bells hang low
while Icelandic poppies flame.
Tomato vines climb the metal trellis,
roaming outside boundaries,
leaning toward the sun, needing to be
Guided home, like me.
Here the earth, its nutrient rich, soil
revives my tired soul. I feel the sun warm
my hair; a cool breeze blows by my ear,
Like a low saxophone, natures' jazz.

Maybe this will give you hope
Easter Tulips
The papery bulb dies in the soil
but sprouts to life again
Tulip closed up tight
opens in the morning light
the tulip closed like Christ who died for me
rose again to set me free
