You did the right thing--though you briliantly point out HOLISM is crucial
--looking at the whole picture which we do as "seeing" people/beings. This is a plus and a minus, especially when we are eyewitnesses. We do see the whole picture but different things in it will attarct or bother us. I have a post from your clever posts of late. Thanks dear Lady ABC-XYZ!

My kids were always being corrected in their use of the English Language. Growing up in urban small town Leavenworth, they sometimes came home talking like "trailer trash." They had to live with their mother, the teacher, who said, "I grew up on a farm, very poor, but you poor children are going to speak correctly while in my home. You may not have much, but by God, you have brains. You WILL speak with your brains engaged." I hear them speak like the street talk they hear, and when they use that speech at home, they immediately correct themselves. I call them bi-lingual!
