Yes Dave the shore of the river Stour , at Wrabness, sunset. This time of year the sun looks as if it sinks into the river, just before the night. Thats the shot I've been after, though unsuccessful so far, I'm heading over their tomorrow because the moon should be full by then , so if I mis the shot of the sun, I've always got the moon!

Praise be for the digital camera. I do that too, the ankle shot.

Take 20, delete 19 and you've got the perfect shot.

Is that bit of coast near you?

Thanks Dave, the second photo, I must admit was another of my flukes, I placed the camera low on the stones and clicked, having no idea what it would capture. Thanks again Dave

Thanks Taps, for your kind review friend, the many kind of names for the Spring Equinox go back in time, too and before the very start of time itsself, for the stars and moon, sun, and so on, were maped before time was calcalated, by the watching, and learning, of the movments of the heavens, but the seasons would have been understood before time. Because the change in, the weather could be felt as well as seen. So there for, mankind would of noticed what movement was taking place, up in his night skies and would no exsacly how long, with much study and wisdom passed down from one genaration too the next. What was happening  the very day, of change for all seasons Equinox. Or was time there before man studyed the heavens? Thanks again TAPS,

Lionladroars-
Oh, I've been away too long; the images you presented are exquisite as were the words that make me so anxious for springtime to begin.  My niece was ready to have her baby on March 21st, but they have revised it to March 11.  She's just ready to see her feet again!

Beautiful pictures.  Beautiful poem.  I learned some new words.  Never heard of most of those names for the Vernal Equinox before.

Thanks Tony, its a great excuse for partying, people enjoying themselves, with their children , a real family day and evening. Jimys Farm ? Is just off the Manningtree road that runs into Ipsqich, and is said too be celebrating again this year. I was away on holiday and missed , so I'm told a great time. He opens up for the old original festivals.! Have you seen any of the programmes? I think there've made to series so far. Thanks for help in spelling also, your right,     curvaceous is a far better word!

Mike - I'd be the celebrating male if I was picked by a group of curvaceous
young ladies. Unless I got executed, like in The Wicker Man. That wouldn't be so hot. Well, it would be too hot, in fact. Enough of this rambling, I enjoyed your multi-faceted take on spring. I see the vernal equinox is 21 March. It's a great time of year - the middle of the upward curve. Plenty of improvement already in temperature and light, but plenty more still to look forward to.
