Yes, Dubai is a great example. The ruler here is a brilliant man. I will have to post some blogs about Dubai soon......it still astonishes me to see the growth and see new developments on a daily basis here.

Blonde.....
I am with you 100% on that one.....I want them to succeed and have a peaceful country...with each peaceful Islamic country.....the radicals will become more isolated.  I hope in the near future to get the chance to see the blossoming of Dubai......what a perfect example of how moderation and peaceful co-existence with the West can help the average Muslim........

I do not believe in killing.  I have only one time in my life slept with a gun, and it was out in the woods alone, surrounded by country hicks.

Blonde

Good post, thank you.

In every war, it's the PBI, the Poor Bloody Infantry, who get all the opprobrium that is due to the " leaders" who put them there in the first place.

I get really sad, depressed and outraged at reading some of the more hysterical, histrionic posts in here ( and without of course ) that portray American servicemen and women as latter day Nazi stormtroopers.

Some people should read their history books.

Corbin, I understand your point of view. Thanks for taking the time to read this and comment.

I really want to understand this from the view point of someone supporting the war, but are against the Muslim religion. What we are focusing on now is rebuilding a Muslim Country. Do people who support the war and are against Muslims support rebuilding a Muslim Country?

Religious fanatics do exist in all religions....the problem is that at this moment in time there happens to be an inordinate amount of fanatics perpetrating terror on the world in one specific religion......I have never said that all muslims are terrorists....but, until the moderate segments of Islam get control of the radicals, one would have to be very foolish not to be alert.

Remember this number increases daily.........

I'm with you on this. Hindsight has made me question the war, but I support the job that the troops are doing and I also give my heart's will to all Muslim peacelovers, who alongside peacelovers of all denominations outnumber the warmongers to a massive extent. Having said that, I don't know what the future will bring.

It was nice to read a different side of you.

I think that the core of most religions that believe in God are about love and the pureness of worshipping God as well.

Thanks for stopping by.

FACTOR

Hey, nice hearing from you! Hope you are doing well.

I do not mean to imply that everyone HATES Muslims...as I commented with Sunny, I think a lot of comments are made out of ignorance and not hate which is a big difference.

I really do get confused when I hear comments agaist the Iraqi people and Muslims in particular but they are in support of the war.......that does not make sense to me because what we are doing now is funding with American tax dollars assisting with rebuilding and stabilizing the Country of Iraq.

Thanks for commenting and reading.

Yes, stereotyping is a sign of ignorance in my opinion, not always hate...so there is a big difference when people do not know any better.

Thanks for your comments and for reading my post.

Thanks Moon, most of the time, I try not to make an issue of things I hear and read that go against what I know to be true....but it slowly builds up inside me and I have to express myself in writing.

I'm grateful for the wonderful supportive comments from site....thanks for your kind words as well, they mean a lot to me.

Yes, you have a lot of good points especially about Americans losing their human rights in protecting us against terrorism......I see that happening more and more everyday. Did you see those new X-Ray Machines they are going to start using at the airports? Oh well, the skies are sure dangerous to fly now days, that is for sure. I hope they can implement safe measures but it always comes at a price with our personal rights as American Citizens.

It has been crazy with security measures on the US military camps as well. If you don't have a certain badge as an American Citizen and a Third Country National does, they have to escort you around the US Military installation. This happened to me when I was in Iraq last because my badge expired. People were looking at me wondering what was going on because I was an American Citizen being escorted by a Third Country National on a US installation. Rules and Security regulations change on a daily baisis....which is suppose to be a good thing to throw of terrorist activity.

Thanks for commenting and reading my post.

Blonde, I've studied lots of 'scripture'. I never read any spiritual master of any religion who cared anything about what people thought. What they all said is love one another, love God, do good, care for your neighbor, help your brother. Those who follow these teachings are doing God's work. You are doing God's work. Blessings, MoonSpirit

I am not sure why so many people find it hard to understand, that no one people are all good or all bad.

It's like stereotyping with limited knowledge.  I don't hate any one group of people, and you can certainly cross my name off the list of Muslim haters, as I happen to be in love with one.

Calm down Blonde;)

Nice to see you here when I popped in to see what's up in Blogland.

I have had and will continue to have many Muslim friends. I suppose I missed why you think everyone hates Muslims...I sure never got _that_ impression around here.

I listened to a sermon by an elderly pastor once, who said he had studied the world's great religions and all of them believed in peace and harmony.

Dear Blonde....

I admire your courage and your cause.  I've gotten away from watching the horror in Iraq on TV and don't feel qualified to comment on the muslims and anything else going on there.  I do feel that I support the troops, my son did his time over there, but I've never felt that I was supporting the muslims.  I was surprised to read that.

I surely support you and hope you'll be very careful in your travels.  Stay well and God bless.

Blonde, you're not the only one.
Religious fantatics, those who'd die and kill for their cause, exist in all the major religions, and this is what makes it so damn scary. The root of the problem lies in flawed humanity - none of us are any where near perfect.  It's good you support our troops, and it's good that many of us want war -- all war -- to end.  And it's good, while our eyes are drawn to fear of militant Muslims, to glance from time to time at those in this country who are erasing our human rights in the name of protecting us from terrorists...

To my eyes, it is not religion that makes a person "good" or "bad", it is how that person practices their religion.  Most Christians, Jews, Muslims etc. practice their religion peacefully and with respect.  Unfortunately, the human ego can stretch the meaning of any scripture to fit it's own destructive ends.

Be well,

Wow! Thanks! I'm pleasantly surprised by your comments. I will contact your email tomorrow to get more information from you. Getting the workers in from India and other countries has to be done by the sponsor of the company, which is my business partner....I will put in a good word for you and your potential candidates.

I'm sitting in the airport right now and will be back in Dubai late this evening and back at the office tomorrow.

I have so much respect for the people from India.....I work around a lot of people from India. It is funny because my 20yr old Sister came over with me after she graduated.....she is learning Hindi, Urdo and a little of Arabic.....she writes blogs on myspace about the different cultures that she is exposed to and the amount of respect she has for them.

My only fear is that the U.S. not lose sight of the honorable endeavour you have described  - rebuilding a life for the Muslims. Respecting the difference in beliefs, lifestyle, and basic culture is critical in assisting them.  Imposing western "ways" upon them would be sinful.  I commend you for your efforts.

Very well put!
People tend to generalize too easily and write off an entire nation as being the same, when in fact it is a few extremists that have caused all the trouble. I know the feeling. Being a white South African I am immediately termed a racist due to the previous era's apartheid regime in South Africa. Fair, not at all!
