Dang! What a sweet tribute you wrote to your friend. I would have probably have teared up if I had been given this poem, and it would have been the favorite gift I had received during my celebration. How thoughtful of you!

- I wasn't happy with the way it read, I thought it was clumsy as a poem and was about to take it down. I think, form-wise, that it would read better as a "prose-poem" and I'll have a go at that and see how it looks.
And she is a very good person, someone I do admire greatly and who is always very much there for me. I wouldn't have survived my years here without her friendship and support.

I don't think it needs any work at all! What a beautiful description of the celebration of life of someone you obviously admire and care for a great deal. It's a wonderful poem....
