Deepananda, for thirty years I've read about Jesus' travels in and influence by the East. Not being a scholar, all of my books being gone, I can't remember the name of even a single one. His Teachings are filled with the Wisdom of the East. They are filled with Sanathana Dharma. It is all there for one who, in His words, has eyes to see and ears to hear. MoonSpirit

Thanks for your input. The agenda of the canonical Gospels, which were written later than Thomas Gospel and St. Paul's letters, had the primary agenda of addressing the Jewish community and its authors definitely would not be interested to add a dimension of Jesus wisdom that would be counter productive to Hebraic tradition.

Good point, Deepananda, especially about the Alexandria connection.
Not something that would occur to many. I agree there are innate similarities and who knows, maybe Jesus did go somewhere far to the east. The only thing perhaps against that argumentis, he'd have talked about it more?

Deepananda
I did read about it somewhere but could not remember where. Thank you for bringing this enlightening post.
