Nahhh, 460 feet is nothing, and the odds of 1 in 45,000 is equally trivial... Micro-meteors strike the earth's atmosphere and burn up all the time, but we never hear of them... However, if the meteor were MILES across, that's a totally different story... Compared to the odds of vehicular accidents or genetic diseases, I wouldn't worry about it... After all, the Y2K hype was just that: hype...

In 2036 I'll be a hundred years old,

having lived past my target date of 2025, when, at the age of 90 I was shot by a jealous wife.

Let's see, I'll be 94.  Hmmmm, at the rate I'm going, odds are I'll be dust.

I wouldn't want to try to survive something like that, but it's a worry for my children and their's.  let's hope you are wrong, Passion.

In 2036 I will be a genetically remodeled 69 year old in a shiney space suit flying first class in a Richard Branson branded space ship to a holiday village somewhere between here and Mars.
