Comments on The Semi-Religious Hysteria of the Global Warmers

Interesting metaphor!

The train is most defintely moving, but I think the issue is determining which direction.

And I think those guys are absolutely right on one point. Quoting your linked story, "'The longer we wait to tackle climate change, the harder and more expensive the task will be,' the group said."

That's precisely what needs to be done - the scientific community needs to tackle climate change, in all its multifacted glory, free of the presuppositions and prejudices of the "global warming" agenda. That's what the dissenters are trying to do, but because their efforts are deemed poltically incorrect (and, I suspect, a threat to the poower of the global warmers), they are ostracized and silenced.

I TRY TO UNDERSTAND
see this:

Science Group: Warming a Mounting Threat

when the vast majority of the world's scientists are agreed that the evidence overwhelmingly leads to the conclusion that global warming is an indisputable reality, where do these others get their information.

I have read yours and in my comments on your posts, I think I have pretty well refuted your arguments against global warming.

the problem is if we decide there is no global warming and there indeed is, then this is like standing on a track and saying there is no train bearing down on us when there is.  I would rather come down on the safe side, where we can take action to avert the drastic effects of global warming -- rather than wait and see if what is happening now is not human produced  - it's almost too late already -- it sure as hell will be if we just decide not to do anything about it.
