One thing to keep in mind is the "needy" people are often master manipulators. They prey on feelings of good will and even the guilt we sometime feel for being successful when faced by those that aren't. There comes a time when we must simply say "no more." We must recognize the difference between a helping hand and a hand out. You can't teach a man to fish if he's unwilling to learn.
