I voted for the KC one, Cee
but I doubt if I'll see it in my lifetime.   Riding the St. Louis light rail was nostalgic for me as I used to take the one in Portland for trips to downtown when I was visiting my son there and his family in Oregon.

Hi Taps-
I read your blogs last night (quite late) to catch up and saw the pictures of your son's minivan sitting in the median, at the metro in St. Louis and the Greyhound Bus crowd.  Say, isn't the St. Louis Metro is just fantastic!?

RE: KC and Jackson Co. politics - I don't understand why the funds are so hard to find.  It's the old fight with Clay Chastain (who moved to W.Va.), his dream-metro the voters said yes to, and the city council members, working harder to find a way NOT to follow this mandate.  Most metro cities have a mass transport railway.  I use them all the time when I visit! Thanks for stopping by!

(p.s.) I changed my nickname after my birthday and I turned 54.  Just didn't go with cee- marie- "-fiftyFOUR" - ehhh--) Glad you like it!

Greatest valentine there is!   I like your name change and that cup of coffee looks so good a few posts down that it made me drool and I asked myself, "Why are you blogging without coffee?"  I'm going to get myself some coffee now, Boss!

Wow, Neil!!!
This gets more beautiful each time I read it!  I just now noticed that I share birth dates with Judy Blume.  I've read every single one of her books.  Bet your girls have, too. Thanks to you again for the time you've put in.  I have enjoyed your poems and lists as much as any ol' Judy Blume novel!  Namasthe!

Your's comes close my friend--

reaching, teaching, just a little preaching

fine lady, powerful mother, her devout partner

with fingertips, smiles, postcard-like imaging

that touch lives with a creed of deed, love and care

caring enough when time seems limited

unlike youth and hubris, where time is eternal

someone's daughter, someone's son, reunited

in home and marriage, make me shine like a Son

I feel their prayers, hear their whispers, smell their tears

yet each morning they send thankful eyes skyward

attitude of gratitude for mercies, unfocussed on fears

as true Americans they usher two lives into adulthood

yet find time to seek wisdom, energy, friendship high and low

because our Universe know they came to help us grow
