My parents were big into tradition, patriotism, religious structure, etc. Those things were just so utterly disinteresting to me. I was all about figuring out why they didn't work, per se, in the grand scheme of things. The things that interest me now are fundamentals, such as love, respect, integrity, honesty. It seems the world around us is sorely lacking in these things.
