- Go to Desire Widens the Chasm Between Myself and the Divine
Bhaskar -
Thanks! I'm still learning as I reread the Bhagavad Gita. Hopefully at some point you might be able to explain to me a bit more about the distancing factor and the cycles of rebirth becoming activated and getting in between the self and the Supreme Self. Thanks for the visit, my friend.

I too, see the problem clearly. Overcoming it seems another matter. As always, thanks for stopping by.

I would expect that Thursday would be kind of overtaking everything else right now. Good luck, and thanks for the visit.

Very nicely expressed.....Desire, the chasm between me and Divinity, and your verse of the Bhagavad Gita. When the fruit of action becomes the object of desire, then action itself is diluted. The total invovement in the act getting diverted because of desire for results, creates karma (giving your 100% to action does not create Karma), and this is the distancing factor with the cycle of rebirths becoming activated and getting in between the self and the Supreme Self.

Nicely put. I've been attached to outcomes for many years in regard to my writing. I now see the problem clearly.

Neat post my friend. I have been concentrating of late about being more active and making myself accomplish some things during the course of my day.
I have been putting off things that are important to me, like starting a book about my escapades with the Ontario government. Maybe after Thursday's court appearance I shall feel more like getting it done.
