He may very well be - I know that
An Inconvenient Truth was a very popular documentary, achieving a wider release than most movies of this genre (as well as a lot of publicity for environmental issues).

I'm signed on as an organ donor. Don't know if they need parts
from someone past 70, but they're welcome to anything they find useful. Did you know Al Gore has been nominated for a Nobel Prize for his work on the environment, the "Inconvenient Truth" movie, etc.? Maybe he's done more good for the world this way than he would have as president. :)
