Our pastor believes this scripture has been misinterpreted.

He believes that the "Temple" that was to be destroyed was Soloman's Temple which was indeed destroyed by the Babylonians (??) in 70 AD.

When the words were first spoken, no one could have conceived that the Temple would be destroyed someday. But it did occur and many of those who had heard those prophecies with their own ears lived to see it.

It makes sense. I don't think there will be another Temple built on that land.

Work has begun on a pathway along the side of the dome of the rock. The temple will be rebuilt. The utensils for sacrifice have been made, the Levities are being indexed. It appears to be the only tribe where they know exactly who belongs.  Preparation is coming along. We are at a late count down time in history.
