Me either, Decshak...How about your internet service provider?
Do you see any reason in the world why they would send you snail mail instead of emaling you? It's not like they didn't have my email address, is it?

Carl Peter...I'm LMAO here but you're absolutely right!
Today, this tech guy from India asked me for the last 4 numbers of the credit card I had on file with Yahoo to pay my monthly charges.
I set the account up about 4 years ago...I have 6 credit cards. I said, "Look, I have no way of knowing which one it is. How about if I just read you the last four numbers to ALL the credit cards and you stop me when I get to one you like."
It's really gotten out of hand.

It doesn't help that they force security questions on you which mean nought
and therefore are practically assured of being forgotten or can not even be answered. Like asking for the first car of a pedestrian urbanite. Or asking for my father's middlename, when he didn't have one. Or asking for a favorite hobby, movie or musician. Which of the several did I choose?
So, security dingbats, just let us ask our own questions, thank you very much!
And don't expect the snail mail to reach us. It often doesn't.

passion,
two days ago I experienced this: when I locked in my yahoo mail to read, I was asked to verify my password. Then, I was asked to edit/confirm changes to my personal profile, which I don't need to. After, confirming that no changes was made, I had to verify my password. It's so troublesome that I literally forget about it. What an experience!

PF
I like to keep tabs on my bank account so at least every day I go on line and check it and today I went on line to check it and it now has a security check and you have to answer two security questions and I couldnt answer so now I am blocked and I have to call the bank and get the block off. Now I know they are tying to protect me but that is going beyond security. Now I am going to have call the bank to get it unblocked.

Kabu...It's probably a good thing for the people of India...
But any time you call for tech support or billing help, you get a guy in India who can barely speak English...its frustrating for sure, but it's cheaper for large companies to do it this way.
