Eleanor had quite the run!
BTW, I am descended from her through her daughter, Matilda, as are the rest of the American House of Delano (de Lannoy). A remarkable woman!

Middle Ages
In some cases women did have real power in those times, and some men were very open minded. To class, sexuality and race. We seem to have gone backwards in many ways.
