Fourcats...I've also said over and over that if you don't

Like someone then don't read their blog...or if you're having problems with another blogger, then stay away from their blogs.

Otherwise it's just asking for trouble. You can see by some of the comments that most folks around here just won't listen. They've continued to visit my blogs and comment even after I asked them nicely NOT to.

Shelly is blocked because I've been thru this sort of thing with her before and KNEW damn well that as long as she could keep the controversy going, she would.

I deleted my other blog but refuse to delete this one. It's a great piece of writing and those who dont like what it says can go straight to hell!

I'm tired of trying to be nice to some of these folks.

maybe it's an east coast saying. any form of swearing is always
preceded by 'pardon my french".  there's lots of acadians where i grew up, french accents everywhere.

Fourcats...That's exactly what I've been saying all along...

But no one around here will listen. I'm afraid this place is turning into a Big Soap Opera...We have far too many drama queens and people who don't have social lives so they're only source of fun and excitement is when they can stir up shit around here.

btw, the word "Fuck" is not French.

i've been thinking about blanche and blogit all day today. i miss blanche

a lot and am deeply sorry for her that she has troubles that vex her so.  i hope she finds peace.

i am not surprised, but disappointed, in the unending "blanchendemic" that clogs this site.  forgive my french, but grow the fuck up.

1) if you don't like something, don't read it.

2) if you don't like someone dropping by, block them and forget about it.

3) if you think something "unblogitlike" is occuring, tell blogit about it, let them handle it and repeat steps 1 & 2.

life is easy, if you let it.  if you're angry, it's because you choose to carry the anger in your heart.  nobody can make you angry.  they can do things that you don't agree with but you can choose to not involve yourself.

if a tomato in the supermarket bin is smashed, do you choose that one anyway and then spend the day mad because you "had" to buy it?  no.  you would choose something else and not give the tomato another thought.

seriously folks, grade five.  we left a long time ago.

Thanks a bunch for the recommendations Whysper...
It's pretty difficult to find time to do that serious writing sometimes. Good luck.

Oh yes

I highly recommend Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover series, she has a wonderful style and the first in that trail is Darkover Landfall, short but extremely powerful.

PF

Let's see, I've written many many short stories, and have plans for several novels that I never got around to.

I used to write poetry, and I've written a few songs over the years.

Unfortunately, I got away from writing a number of years ago when I thought I wanted to be an actor, and when that didn't pan out I just didn't get back into it until just lately.  Now that I have my blog, I try to write everyday, and I'm working on several stories at once trying to determine which one soots me the most so I can attempt to finish something new.

There are many ways to leave a negative comment...
For instance, you can be condescending and give the attitude that you're looking down your nose at the rest bec you're so far superior. That one is used frequently around here.

It's been removed, but I know for a FACT that I did not say anything ugly.

Haven't read some of those Whsyper--

But thanks for the recommendations...I've never written any Sci-Fi and I've always wanted to bec I love reading that genre so much.

One of my novels is about a middle-aged woman who discovers the secret to reverse aging...That's a good story.

The other is about a group who takes a journey north to a land of mystery where a race of frog-like beings does a magical dance every 10 yrs - if you're fortunate enough to see them perform this ritual dance, you receive the desires of your heart. It's called, "Frogdance".

I've written a few good short stories too but never one sci-fi piece...How about you?

Afraid I've been around here too long...I know you guys all too well!

I was trying to help you and was not negative in the least. However, I
can assure you that I will not return as long as you stop returning my comments or speaking of me.  Be well and good luck.

Didn't Bradbury write Something wicked this way comes?

Not sure, off hand, but his writing didn't exactly excite me either.  I prefer Larry Niven, Piers Anthony, Marion Bradley & oh my...... I guess I could just go on and on.

Raymond Feist is another great story teller, but I would have to admit that Poe was one of my early favorites too.

Blackcat...just in case you DO return...which I'm Fairly Certain...

YOU WILL!!!!

This is the type of snippy, terse, negative comment you left in the blog I deleted. There were several looooonnnnng comments such as this one.

LOL... I haven't mentioned this topic since the week of the banning...
you may want to take your own advice here.   Oh, and consider me gone.  I do hope you feel better soon.

Sorry, deleted the post Blackcat...

I think it's better if you just let it go though, as some have suggested. Of course, this will depend upon you and Shelly being able to rise above your flesh.

In fact, I honestly wish you would not read my posts anymore. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

I've had to block Shelly bec I know from experience that asking her to leave me alone and not read my posts rarely works.

What? What "ugly things" did I say?

posted by -blackcat on February 6, 2007 at 9:53 AM | link to this | reply

Timmy...I've never been a big fan of Ray Bradbury...

But I love Edgar Allen Poe....alot of the "Dark Influence" in my poetry comes directly from reading his stuff as a young girl-

Of course, I always respected Mary Shelly.

Whysper...Several were saying to let it go...
So I thought it best to delete the post. Ariala, Blackcat and Offbeat had said some ugly things that I'm sure they would want removed.

Mary Shelly, Ray Bradburry..........there have been many. It was once said that with two to three well placed individuals among a crowd, they could start a riot. It seems that most ignite from ignorance.

You deleted your post again
Was it something I said?  I'm always so analytical about that sort of stuff.  It always seems that people delete their post right after I respond, so I figure I must have offended them or something like that.

TennyA....I once belonged to an organization whose motto was:
"TEACH TOLERANCE" - They never told us how though. How do you teach people to be more tolerant of each other?

posted by Passionflower on February 5, 2007 at 10:49 PM | link to this | reply

Bhaskar...we all get that way at times...

What TennyA below has said is right on. We need more tolerance of each other. We each expect the other to be a saint and entirely perfect but we're so flawed ourselves that our vision is blinded.

Jesus said that it was rediculous for a man with a log in his own eye to be straining to get the speck of dust out of his neighbor's eye.

Offbeats
Blanche was here? Recently? When? I never saw her name anywhere these days. Maybe I couldn't take some of the mystery, or the hints, but I have been here these few days to miss out on anything like her come back. Is that why the matter has got its swing? Oh, I was wondering why is there again so much of Blanche talk suddenly?

posted by Bhaskar.ing on February 5, 2007 at 10:44 PM | link to this | reply

Offbeat...I'm afraid that you've mis-read what I wrote....

I've never called anyone a WITCH. I said that this ordeal had turned into a:

   WITCH HUNT!

That's an entirely different thing. Please re-read the post and don't be confused.

I think you are looking at this backwards. First you are no martyr just as much as Ariala and Blackcat and shelly nor I are witches..There is not one person in here who hasn't had hard times in their lives...We all strive to be better people each and everyday...There are people in here that have had serious issues and have resolved them without hurting others...You are not the only person who has had a rough life Passionflower...some of us just choose NOT to write about it and I am one of those. No one needs to know what crap has filled my life..

Lashing out and calling people witches does not become a compassionate person.

We each had our own experience with blanche. Every one deals with things their own way. When I knew she was back and she tried to engage in conversation with me...I told her right then I was not interested and that was my choice. If that makes me a witch so be it...but you know better. I love you~

posted by Offy on February 5, 2007 at 10:37 PM | link to this | reply

Thanks Wiley...I knew you'd understand and have compassion.

When I think about how life has broken me and you, Blanche and Mysteria...Maybe a few others... I realize something:

No matter how painful it has been for each of us...esp for Mysteria, we each have a depth of compassion and caring that many do not possess. Nor can they possess it without suffering as we have.

It's one of those priceless things that money can't buy. I'm thankful we've each survived. And I'm grateful that we've taken the Shit that life threw at us and become stronger, better humans.

Blanche is my friend too and I even understand how a mind can go kind of berserk, we are all simply human.

I've been very busy the last couple of days and just blogging sporadically when a moment presents itself.  I just read your last post and this one.  I did notice some of the conversations you had with Blanche while she was here and I must say that I was very pleased to see that someone was taking time with her.  I'm sure that you met a need in her life.  Its always so difficult to get ones life back together after a big rift.  Its very difficult to say, "I'm sorry" and Blanche was trying her best to do that.
