The Babri Mosque issue is a troublesome one and we hope that Gujarat episode does not create even greater difficulties for Muslims in India. The message for tolerance has to be propagated on both sides of the border, so that muslims in India are not made to pay for the negative feelings harboured against Pakistan by Hindu fundamentalists.
