Freebirds, It's hard for me to imagine someone
who has never seen snow. Where do you live?

Having been born in NYC (most of the snow there turns black fast) and then lived the rest of my life in Boston or Germany/Austria...I have seen a lot of snow...

improved since. It is a chapter in my on-going memoir.

or maybe it's The Spanish Inquisition!
Though my experience with EuroRail was that it was more a German Inquisition for each foot of German soil the train had to go through.  I am surprised the Germans were not demanding passports from everybody.  Perhaps they were just too busy with the snow.
