on either side of the stage at the oldest public high school in the U.S. are brass plaques with their birthdays and quotes.

Lincoln's in the  "charity for all" quote i htink

Darwin's is about how wonderous it is that all thes evolved.

actually the building is that of one of the 2nd oldest in St. Louis, which became occupied after the 1927 tornado by the oldest, Central.
