As I read this entry...
it struck me that perhaps this girl was very shy about asking for services. I've been there myself; it isn't that people like this consider it demeaning, but that they're nervous and scared. And, as I said, shy. This is especially true the first time they have to ask for any kind of help, even parenting classes.
