Hi Moonspirit! I too would be rich, but I thin I am soing to try this!
I get in ruts, because I start working and let other things go too easily! I need more self-control to limit my work time by being more efficient! Blessings! faholo

Hi Charlann, I have missed missed Joel lately, but I surely
do enjoy him. I love it when he starts using rhyming words to simply and get his point across. I think he is really a holy man! Thanks for your visit and comment! Blessings! faholo

We tried this technique at our office for late-comers, but after a while, it failed. But I think it a good idea to give a jolt by taking out money for what one should not have done. Put them in your piggy bank, and count it after a month to see and analyze yourself. Two months should tell you a lot about yourself.

faholo, I'm a little late, but Happy Birthday!
I've seen this used as a tool to curb profanities, not where I work now, but previously..my wife also used it when she worked in a bank..lol..she got rich quick....

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to you.  Happy Birthday dear Mary, Happy Birthday to you!

An excellent idea!  I enjoyed Joel Osteen's sermon this evening regarding practicing good habits instead to bad.  This reminded me of another way to reward or penalize oneself for developing good habits.  Thank you.

Faholo -
I think this technique is used all of the time, whether we know it or not. Each time we do a good thing, it is noted. Each time we do a bad thing, it is noted. Call it karma, Providence, whatever you like, the bottom line is: what goes around comes around.

I've heard of this technique before and I thought it was a fabulous idea.  Be it to curb profanities, acts of unkindness, each time you nag your spouse, every time you "impulse" shopped, every time you moaned about your life (the list is endless) the piggy bank could get pretty darn full!
