I went to the link and left a response; also I noticed a really good idea. Anyone who takes issue with Mr. Adkins remarks needs to pick up a copy of the Washington Post and write everyone of their advertisers explaining that they will not purchase products from them due to their affliation with the Washington Post. We can talk, complain and even get mad, but nothing changes until we do something about it. Hit them where it hurts!
I am going to see if I can find a copy at the bookstore this weekend, I will make a list of the advertisers and post them.

What an utter disgrace! The man is either foaming mad ; lives in a parallel universe ; works for al Qua-eda, or is a hermit.
As one who has always been a well wisher of Merica and Americans, one was outraged at veterans of Vietnam being made pariahs in their own country.
And now it seems, the whole dismal, disgusting scenario is be re-enacted. To equate American soldiers with Nazi stormtroopers, or their murderous Islamic foes is a total flight from reason ; a belief fit only for the insane of the enemy.
It is sad commentary on the current bitterly, and possibly fatal, divisiveness of American society that its citizens are apparently incapable of staying the course -- as did their ancestors in their Revolutionary Wars, and 1917/18 and 1941/45. No doubt America's enemies ; without and within, take note of this highly perilous failing.
For God's sake wake up, America!

Beautiful.
Guys like this cause me endless hours of defending my profession to people who only see the worst. He needs to be writing for Mother Jones or something, not the Post.
On the other hand, as one of my rock guitar heroes, the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent himself, once said, "We absolutely must protect the right to free speech, if only so we can clearly identify for ourselves the true assholes of the world."

That guy disgusts me! I couldn't even read all of his statements because my stomach started turning and my face was turning red....my heart was hurting too.
BTW.....I haven't posted much lately, but I was in Iraq for the last 1 month. I flew with the Marines, Army and Air Force and even met some Navy Seals....you know that I have done this in the past as well, but each time my heart goes out more and more to these brave souls. I was in Baghdad and Western Iraq. Maybe I will do a post on this. It is hard for me to express in words my experiences out there.....overwhelming at times.
I admire your stance and support of our troops.

OK time to go back to watching TV before I lose what little composure
I have left.
Let's see the military shouldn't be criticizing the American people? As you stated Corbin, the US military ARE American people.
As for decent wage, taking care of families, etc.... Let's not even freaking go there. Carl took a cut in pay and he is lucky because he is an NCO, the lower enlisted often have to rely on food stamps to eat while they are still putting their lives on the line in order to give everyone in American the freedom to voice their opinion, even reporters for the Washington Post who are too arrogant to appreciate the price these men and women pay so he can write crap like this!
