This is very interesting. The acceleration / genetic transfer
put me in mind of the way technology seems to have speeded up. The rate of change, and adaptations between various electronic "families" from computer to internet to video to telephone to a combination... And changes happen exponentially faster. While it can leave us confused and spinning in the dust, it is comforting to realize that the pattern has a basis in nature. Or as it happens, everything follows this universal pattern -- barely moving > slow > faster > blinding speed. Very well written and clearly thought out. :)
