Hi OnetimeAgain, I like your name! It is so meaningful. How many times
in my life I have said, (just one more time) and later found myself doing the old thing I should not be doing, like Saint Paul! Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment! You are appreciated, I will see you later at your blog! faholo

"Unless ye become as little children, ye shall not eneter the Kingdom..."
Mary, when you stop by my blogs, I know that your special sharings and aferrings are more special if I visit. I was not disappointed...I kept saying Mary's brother is Sam, not Kevin. Yes, you could have written this story by Sam's life coach's friend/mentee. Shalom my dear sister Mary. Happy February---lIncoln with "malice toward none" and good wishes to all, we can rebuild any dream & enjoy a rebirth of nation, liberty and unity. Neil

type: Something "we all" unfortunately lose

Kevin’s innocence is something will unfortunately loose. We forget the simple joys of life or the gratitude we should experience just in know we CAN load the washing machine. It is also the same innocence that gives Kevin his unwavering Faith – what a blessing that would be. He does not analyze or over analyze as most of us do – he simply accepts and embraces. Through his eyes and open heart you heart is touched and your questions, perhaps, become less complex. That is his gift to you and others. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story.

Faholo -
I think I've mentioned my Uncle Bud before. He was very much like Kevin is. And I always viewed him, not so much as comprehending things that I couldn't, but of not being weighted down with heaviness of Self. The only self he knew was the one that was directly a part of God.

I would touch Kevin's feet for his blessings. Wonderfully touching. This post requires repeated readings, without getting stale, but shining all the more. Great post.

Moonspirit, what a beautiful tradition you have. Your sharing
reminded me of the times I washed my dear mother's feet in the years I cared for her before her death. Thank you! Blessings! faholo

HI Presley, yes it is a sweet story. And I had the best cry I
have had in long time as I read it. Of course knowing the group of Life-coaches who know this young man and my brother made the story even more meaningful for me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Blessings! faholo

In the East, there is a tradition of touching the feet of one's elders, those who are spiritually elevated, those who have wisdom. Were I to meet Kevin, I would definitely bow to him and touch his feet. MoonSpirit

Mary…..it would seem clearly that we come to God most fervently
by the passion of our belief and faith…..this is a most wonderful story…

Mary, this brought tears to my eyes;

"Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:4

What mind could not possibly understand the simple truth of God's unconditional love?  It is not understood through knowledge, but the understanding of the heart.

Your story reminded me of two more instances with my four-year old; He was 'raised' in our church daycare, from age 2-1/2 to 10.  One morning he informed me he need to bring a book from home to share.  I wasn't paying attention that particular morning and simply told him to get one off the bookshelf, so he did and put it in his backpack.  When I returned that evening, the ladies were in stitches anxiously awaiting my arrival.  The book he brought to daycare was; Games & Crafts for the Retarded Child.  I'm such a book nut, everyone's always cleaning out shelves and giving me books.  I don't even know where we got it.

Then it must have been around his 5th birthday.  I came that evening and the ladies were almost in tears because Dustin had been sitting in the corner sobbing almost hysterically for nearly an hour and wouldn't tell either what was wrong. I picked him up and wiped his tears away, inquiring to what was wrong.  He grabbed my face with one hand and put his other over his heart sobbing in a whisper, "Mom, Jesus is living inside my heart."

Many, many blessings to you for touching my heart today!
