Welcome, maerahn!
I think you'd be interested to know that the basis of their study, the ability of cosmic rays to affect cloud development, has been verified. See http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/WriterofLight9282/441940 for further discussion.

Quote: "Ten years ago, Danish researchers Henrik Svensmark and Eigil Friis-Christensen first hypothesized that cosmic rays from space influence the Earth’s climate by effecting cloud formation in the lower atmosphere." Unquote.

Ten years ago Pluto was still a planet, there were no black holes within our galaxy and Mars had never had any form of life on it whatsoever at any point in its existence. We've had reason to revise all of those theories since then - which just goes to show, we're not as smart as we think we are.

I'm sure it would be just lovely if those Danish guys are right, so that we can all go "Oh, so it's not really our fault at all then - phew, what a relief!" and then carry on driving our 2.4 kids around in those 7-seater gas-guzzlers and drilling for more oil in the last remaining places on earth we haven't yet raped and pillaged. But you don't cite any PROOF of these cosmic ray 'theories' from ten years back - and until that happens I'm sorry but no, we DON'T get to cheer smugly and continue pumping crap into the atmosphere just because it makes our lives more convenient.

My "response" . . .

I have heard both sides of this arguement and I do believe we are in a warming trend. I do not think it is caused by any one source other then Mother Nature having a cycle of change...She does that from time to time..

ok respond

Antarctic Ice caps melting.  Glaciers receding and disappearing.  Little or no snow on mountains that once had snow year round.  Thinning ice in Hudson's Bay affecting the Polar Bears.  Fauna from more temperate regions moving north into polar and subpolar.  Temperatures higher than any recorded.  Greenland ice sample cores of the past several hundred thousand years showing that this is the warmest period in several hundred thousand years.

tell me how this does not equate to global warming?

these are facts.

the overwhelming majority of scientists have concluded that global warming is actually occurring.

so what does this minority have to counter?  I will read what you have linked to.
