Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) recounts hearing this exchange between President Bush and Nancy Pelosi up on the Hill on Tuesday. Pelosi, puzzled by what she considered the president's minimalist explanation for his confidence in the new surge of 21,500 U.S. troops of his new "way forward" for U.S. forces in Iraq, asked the President:
PELOSI: You've tried this two times — it's failed twice. Mr. President, why do you think it's going to work this time?'
BUSH: Because I told them it had to.
PELOSI: Why didn't you tell them that the other two times?

Corbin that is so funny.
I saw her that night. She was blinking, pursing her mouth and giving an ever so slow shift of seating. It was like she had ants in her pants but elected to endure them.
