Oh, my God, I didn't know that living in London is costly because I've not gone back there for more than 35 years!

I felt very depressed
reading your post and can only say that I do not know how visitors to London afford to live. I commute there two or three days a week and am used to the high prices; when we lived in London it became harder and harder to afford to go out regularly and save up for a home and family etc. Whenever I visit the U.S. I cannot believe how cheap things are - especially fuel and food. I can only apologise on behalf of our overpriced (and dirty) capital city.
