It looks like there is a lot of wood chopping/splitting to do there.  It also looks like a lot of good fires in the fireplace possibilities.    Guess you are gonna be working for your supper.

I agree. We don't have mesquite out here on the East coast. But, we do have apple. I hope you have a great weekend, my friend. Good to hear from you.

Avant -
I've got a bunch of Mesquite that I just chopped up. Nothing better for grilling then a little Mesquite thrown into the fire.

Indeed, it is. I'm getting in better shape this week from it. Only last week I was flagging tired.

I just love a hot fire when it's cold. It's fun going out and stocking up on wood. Good luck and be careful.

It's good exercise isn't it?
The stump grinder reminds me of the movie "Fargo." LOL.

I find sawing really therapeutic too
and may just head outside to do precisely that, once I've finished reading.

This does balance me in a lot of ways. It lets me reconnect with my spirit, through being outdoors. It feeds a need for strenuous exercise as well. Thanks for the words of encouragement and have a great weekend!

Yes, about half of it is from trees I've been hired to cut down. The rest is from dead trees that I've scouted and found.

Yes, I do deliver. We burn about that much in our wood stove every winter. It is very lovely here in the warmer months. We are expecting an ice storm tomorrow. I'm glad I've stocked up on warmth anyway.

Loved Jan. 16th selfless service message too. U are so deep...like wood

What I mean is that living among the wood or in the woods, does connect us more. I think taking care of people's wood needs is so nature-centering and hard work, which is good if you are careful to avoid straining the back. I love how you are so well-balanced, a natural Buddhist- locating equilibrium! Congrats and Happy New Year my Friend. Shalom, Neil.
