Those words were probably ones she said 100 times a day as she told the stories but for me, they were a gift, they gave me a peace about what Carl was doing and a very clear remind why he was doing it.   She was right, we are all a part of the story and I pray that when our children and their children tell it, that it will be with pride.

In your prior post you said the sight of the flag still give you chills.  What the lady quoted to you GAVE ME CHILLS.  I love the title of your new blog.  This is such a wonderful way to allow us to get to know you!

Mysteria
what a really great point.  Sometimes we put ourselves or circunstances put us in a place that we really don't feel very free!  I had one of those jobs...never again!

One of my favorite quotes is "Live Free or Die"
I firmly believe in that.  I once had a job that was so stifling and oppressive it drove me to a form of depression that was nearly lethal.  I'll never put myself in that position again.

It's a good pic.
I haven't been there since grade school...it was one of those school trips.  I don't recall if I had gotten the chance to see it that close or not...been a long time.
