Among certain indigenous populations, children are not prevented
from handling knives or warned not to stick their toes in the cooking fire. Death is a part of life, and if one doesn't learn to deal with dangerous things, they die. They learn the risks from the cradle up. The smart ones live long enough to reproduce - survival of the fittest seems no longer to be practiced in the civilized world.

Holy_Grail
That's right! I forgot about the overweight people who are suing fast food chains for making them overweight. Because, you know, Ronald McDonald held them at gun point and forced them to eat that crap

I love it!  No one can take responsibility for accidents or stupidity anymore. And the road to gold is paved with frivolous lawsuits!  "Inhaling smoke into my lungs gave me lung cancer." Gee, really?  Who'd have thought??  "I'm suing McDonalds because all the Super-Deluxe-Xtreme-Quadriple sized bags of grease that I ate caused my massive heart attack."
