A very fine comment to Troosha, as also to others.

You are bang on target. Our physical senses are awfully inadequate in understanding anything beyond our immediate vicinity.

Lovely comment!. Questioning and seeking are innate character of sentient beings. It is like a river finding a course to the ocean. These concepts of God, we put out, are like the shoring that we do when the river is in full flow. Your conclusion "It’s like feeling the rain on our face rather than flipping open the umbrella" also involves a type of seeking which is mystical in nature and involves a personal experience. I am in full agreement with you that unless all the knowledge and the resulting concepts result in a deep down experience we never can discover the absolute Truth.

Well summarized through your comment "for too many people god is what they want him to be" and well ended with our limitation through expression. I like the title you have indicated "GOD AS THE UNIVERSE AS AN ORGANISM". If you have not already read, please read this book 'BIOCOSM" by James N Gardner. You would find it enjoyable.

Although you lost me with the M-Theory (something I’m not familiar with), I believe that spiritual enlightenment or the embracing of one’s God does not come to be if we’re bogged down with questions and seeking evidence.  It evolves as a result of “being” and accepting a greatness that exceeds self.  It’s like feeling the rain on our face rather than flipping open the umbrella.

our limits arise from our desire
to define

and enclose and put in a box so that we can hold god.

no different than the little household images of the semitic peoples in the dim past --

for too many people god is what they want him to be

problem is

god (and we have to call it god simply as a point of commonality -- for whatever it is, it is not the classic perception of god) just is -- and god is totally indefinable.

that is why I title one blog GOD AS THE UNIVERSE AS AN ORGANISM, where I try to go into the subject, but still fall far short.

DEEPANANDA…....it seems so obvious that our perceptions are indeed
restrained by the biological limits of our senses.  It seems so readily apparent that so much exists beyond the reach of our limited biological senses.  Clearly, much exists that is beyound our sight, touch, smell, feel, and hearing.

Yes! very true. Jesus divinity lies in his ability to ascend and descend between the 'Son of Man' and 'Son of God' planes. If we read the Gospel of John beyond the surface meanings this will be apparent. Blessings!

Deep, how true your thoughts are -- the greatness of God is beyond
understand, except in his choosing to become man through his son, Jesus Christ -- In Him we can seek to understand all about God that we desire!
