There is a social responsibility in reporting these facts, SW. However, I
don't see what is gained in the redundancy of the Bonds issue.  Still, if my kids looked up to Bonds as an athletic hero, I'd be glad that the media served him up as an addictive personality, an object lesson for my children.  On the flip-side of that, we have the rationalization of his acts by those who would emulate him.  There should be some ethics clause in professional athletes' contracts that would get them banned from future play...

Look, if Pete Rose can't get in, Bonds can't get in. Period. If Mark
McGuire can't get in, neither can Bonds..  Double period.
