when i was in high school, the pottery teacher was excellent at his
craft and took much enjoyment from the fact his classes were filled with very talented students. until it came to me. i have visions in my head equal to the pristine chapel of what i want to make but my hands create only a different sized blob of clay. i actually almost made the guy cry one day he was so distressed at my complete and utter lack of talent. he gave me a passing grade because he knew i was trying but it's true what they say, talent can't be taught, only refined.
