I feel for you on that one.......I hope wages are in proportion to the cost of living!!!

Corbin,
Funny enough, that's what the rate is and that's not the cheapest because between networks it's even higher.  The thing is that although everything in Jamaica is expensive, everybody has a cell phone.  It's a matter that we have our priorities all wrong. There are people who must have brand name shoes, clothes etc, but do not have a job.  That's how my strange society works.

Are those numbers right???
$8.00 a minute ($52.80 US)??????  Who could afford a cell phone...If the number are reversed and it's $8.00 a minute....that still too high!  That would bankrupt most American families with teenagers......

Joe,
We don't get a break on cellular calls until some outrageous hours after midnight.

Malcolm,
Like I said, I am ever so happy he's back in school now.   Less time to aggravate the phone.

Do you think he'll work
for the telephone company one day? Sounds like he already does!

Mia,
I don't know where he gets it from, but he does know how to negotiate and make his point.  In spades!

Strat,
Ah, the telephone. One of the best and yet one of the worse inventions.  All at the same time!

word--
I'm not a parent so this might seem like a totally stupid idea to all those who are, but...why did you keep engaging in a dialog with him after you told him to quit calling until you got home?? He not only thinks he's the boss of you, but HE IS! ;-)

Dave,
Coming down to end of the holidays is when parents get really thankful for teachers, I think.

Thank heaven for the teachers. No need to teach them anything, just keep

them busy.

Hope your bill's not too heavy.
