Excellent post!  Having a sufficient amount of money, or the desire to, is not a bad thing in itself! In fact, I think that it a good thing to want enough of it to provide for the needs, as well as some of the nicities of life and provide us with the power to help others in need. I very seriously doubt that the vast majority of us have cellars full of the stuff and go there often to worship it!  I know I do not.  Like any number of things, money can be used for good or evil.

It is all in the heart, isn't it?  I believe that most Christians have good hearts and do not put money before God.

Thanks for helping to keep us in perspective!

Success…Hey thanks for the link to my site….that was nice…
I’ve discussed the familial worship with others on the blogit before. Ancestral worship has been around for ages but of course I know that you are speaking of your present family and certainly we all have much love for our families. We seem to all go through stages of love. Love perhaps first manifests itself as we experience it for our parents, who care and nurture us. It seems to transcend into something a bit different when we meet our spouse, who we eventually come to also categorize as our family. With our children, it seems to further transcend. Where it is sometimes cumbersome for many to go is to the stage where one comes to love “love” itself and to see it as a transcendent entity that can extend far beyond ones immediate family. Thank you so much for responding to this. It’s always a pleasure to converse with you.

Very good post, SuccessWarrior! You led me to some
important thinking, thank you! You are right, we do need to work toward financial goals as we work toward relgious or spiritual goals. Doing those things to provide for self and those for whom we are responsible is necessary and right! Not all who possess great amounts of money are not necessarily making money their god! Thanks for your post, today! faholo
